Like Fugi and Bugoyi, Muzo is another coffee we’re excited to introduce from Emmanuel Rusarita of Baho Coffee in Rwanda. All of our coffees from Baho are named after the washing stations they are processed at. As such, Muzo comes from the Muzo Washing Station in the Northern Province. Muzo is Baho’s smallest station and as they suggest it’s also likely where their finest coffees come from. The unique location of the station—in the cove of a hill—allows for cold air to push up through the cherries as they dry on raised/African beds at night. Expect delicate tropical fruit notes like papaya alongside more traditional notes of walnut and milk chocolate.
